“Lord of the Rings” soundtracks will be published individually on vinyl for the first time from October 2025.
The multi-award-winning soundtracks for Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy by composer Howard Shore first appear individually on vinyl in autumn. Previously, Warner released a strictly limited 6-LP box set in May 2025, which was sold out within a short time.

Limited vinyl edition from October 2025
The new edition comprises three double LPs: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King. From October 3, 2025, they will be on the market on 180-gram-black vinyl. There is also a limited “Palantir Clear” edition at selected dealers.
Howard Shore and the award -winning film music
Howard Shore significantly shaped the success of the fantasy series with his music. The trilogy won 17 Oscars, including three for film music. Shore also received four Grammy awards. In 2023, British fans chose compositions as the most popular film music. The soundtracks were recorded by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, supported by London Voices and the London Oratory School Schola.
Success of the individual “Lord of the Rings” soundtrack albums
The individual albums also achieved great success. The Fellowship of the Ring reached platinum status in the USA and contains two songs from Enya: “May it Be” and “Aníron”. The Two Towers was awarded gold in several countries and won a Grammy. The Return of the King brought several prizes: two Oscars, two Golden Globes and two Grammys. Annie Lennox ‘song “Into the West” also received an Oscar.
“Lord of the Rings” anniversary concerts in London and New Prequel
Accompanying the vinyl publication will take place from April 2026 anniversary concerts in the Royal Albert Hall in London. There the London Philharmonic Orchestra plays the complete trilogy live to the film.
In addition, the Prequel film “Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum” has been announced for December 2027, which leads to Andy Serkis.
