A man with a cane and a guide dog enters the train, takes a seat, picks up a book and starts reading. That man could have been Tjidde Bos (59) from Stadskanaal. “Yes, then you start talking, and I understand that,” says Tjidde. He can only see seven degrees, but with those seven degrees he can still see reasonably sharply. Someone with healthy eyes has 180 degrees. “You have to imagine it as if you were looking through a straw. I don’t see anything above, below, left and right.”
