Urban explorer Bob Thissen has his wildest adventure of the year in China. Together with his partner Andrea, the Dutchman sets out to explore an abandoned Soviet submarine. The journey is anything but smooth. In pitch darkness, with lots of wind, clouds and cold temperatures, the urbexers try to reach the mysterious submarine. “I don’t think this is the ideal moment,” he says along the way. “We are indeed going to suffer.” Once inside the submarine, which was sold to China in 1994 and was in service until 2021, the discovery adventure can really begin.
