The Italian island of Elba, and in particular the capital Portoferraio, are under water due to a severe storm. About 56 millimeters of precipitation fell in just over an hour. Images show the swirling water mass in the streets of the port city. Dozens of people had to be relieved, but as far as we know there were no victims, local media report.
