The bizarre incident happened in Almudaina, a village an hour’s drive from Benidorm, in the province of Alicante. About 200 to 250 people were still there late on Saturday evening around 3 am, writes ‘Europa Press’. At that moment, a car suddenly tore through the crowd, making its way to the stage. This caused great panic in the square.

One of the bystanders filmed how the driver stands still at the stage, drives backwards for a moment, and then suddenly shoots forward again. At that moment, a police car arrives and jams the car.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, except for the Belgian driver. The 72-year-old man suffered minor injuries. According to local media, he has Belgian nationality, but would live in Spain. His car and the stage he drove into were damaged.

According to ‘Las Provincias’, the mayor of Almudaina could hardly believe what had happened, much less what the driver said when he got out of his car. “I don’t like music,” he said casually.
