Look back: Remembrance Day at National Monument Westerbork

Tonight, at the National Monument in Westerbork, we commemorated the Dutch victims who fell since the outbreak of the Second World War. The commemoration program could be followed live on RTV Drenthe.

It started with a silent march, after which two Holocaust survivors spoke about their experiences during the Second World War. There was also room for music. Songs from the cycles Rocking the Child and Black Flowers were sung by soprano Channa Malkin. Spectators were welcome for the first time since the outbreak of the corona crisis.
