Loneliness this summer: small gesture can make a difference

“Sometimes it is also difficult for us to find volunteers in this busy time,” says Marion Tellings of Stichting met je Hart. “People are often on holiday, and are sometimes a bit older themselves and not always available due to corona. Yet we try to give the now almost 100 registered elderly people a good time. Sometimes just a phone call is enough, but it is best if people can meet each other on a structural basis.”
