Lizzo has released a new single and video: In the clip for the pop song “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” we see the singer in a wedding dress. When she gets a call from Beyoncé, no sorry, her waiting Feyoncé, LOL, she bolts and heads for the desert in a convertible. Directed by Christian Breslauer and Lizzo themselves.
“2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” is the second official single after “About Damn Time” from Lizzo’s fourth album SPECIAL, which was released on July 15, 2022. In Musikexpress 07/2022 we dedicated our cover story to Lizzo. “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” was released as a radio single in Italy on July 18 and in the US on August 1. The accompanying video celebrated its premiere on August 15th. For her song “Grrrls” Lizzo was previously criticized for a certain line of text – and reacted confidently.
