There is a huge ship on the beach. “Pontifically on the beach”. Artist Hans van Marwijk still sees it that way. “I had to rub my eyes three times when I looked out of my bedroom window that morning.”
Together with his childhood friend Adriaan van Dis, Van Marwijk is there like the chickens. They are used to that there is nothing to do in the winter. But from that moment it is gently said, done with the peace.
