Liverpool-Tottenham, odds, statistics and previous history

Spurs have only won one of their last 27 games played on the Reds’ pitch in the Premier League. And Klopp’s men fly into the house

On the one hand, the Liverpool captain of Jurgen Klopp, who after reaching the Champions League final wants to continue to feed the dream of winning the Premier. On the other hand, the hunger of Antonio Conte, in search of fourth place in the standings which would mean qualification for the next Champions League. After winning at Manchester City on February 19 – Harry Kane’s decisive goal in the 95th minute – the Spurs are looking for another prestigious away win. But that may not be enough: fate is in the hands of Arsenal, currently fourth with two points clear of their rivals. Just as Liverpool depend on Manchester City: Pep Guardiola’s team has one point ahead and will host Newcastle. Who knows that he may not feel the blow of the elimination in the Champions League against Real Madrid. While Liverpool and Tottenham will face off at Anfield in a match not to be missed: kick-off on Saturday at 20.45.

THE LIVERPOOL

The impression is that Conte needs a company of his own. Liverpool are in a moment of extraordinary form and seem to have put on automatic pilot: also considering the Champions League and the FA Cup, the Reds have won the last six games and do not lose from the home match against Inter, which however has not compromised the passage to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Since then, 11 wins and two draws have come, while to find the last knockout in the Premier League you have to go back to December 28, with the 1-0 for Leicester at the King Power Stadium. And then there is the Anfield factor: in the league the Reds are unbeaten at home in 21 games, in which they have scored 52 goals and conceded only nine. And in the last five they have reached 15 points without collecting even a goal.

PREVIOUS

Anfield factor that also weighs in the matches between Liverpool and Tottenham, with Spurs having won only one of the last 27 games played at Anfield in the Premier League (18 wins and eight draws in the series): the last success dates back to May 2011, with the 2-0 signed by Van der Vaart and Modric. Since then Liverpool have won seven of ten matches, with three draws. And in general, also considering the games played in London, Tottenham have only won once in their last 18 games against Liverpool.
