“All the sacrifices are paying off”

Konstantinos Tsimikas has extended his contract with Liverpool FC until 2025. The Reds officially announced this on Monday. As usual, the LFC did not provide any information about the length of the contract. According to reports, the left-back’s new contract is dated until June 2027.

Tsimikas moved from Olympiacos Piraeus to Liverpool in 2020 for 13 million euros. Since then, the 27-year-old has played 63 games in which he made 12 assists. An extremely presentable rate for a defensive player with manageable playing times: the professional was involved in a goal in around every fifth game. The 29-time Greek international has been able to double his market value from 9 million to 18 million euros since his Premier League transfer.

“I am very happy to be here and to extend my contract. I feel like all the sacrifices I have made and other things, the work I have put in are paying off,” Tsimikas explained. “For me the most important thing is to win trophies, to be involved in every situation and to be a part of it all.”
