Youngster Stefan Bajcetic will be out of action for Liverpool FC for the remainder of the season due to injury. The 18-year-old defensive midfielder confirmed a long-term absence via Instagram on Thursday. “It’s very sad to say goodbye to this fantastic season but I understand it’s part of football,” wrote the Spaniard. He will do his best “to come back stronger than ever”.
Bajcetic made his professional debut for the Reds in August and has made 18 appearances since then, including one goal. At the end of January, he extended his contract for a further two years until 2027. His country’s multiple youth international was among the winners in Thursday’s Premier League market value update, when it went from one million to 13 million euros – that’s it one of the ten most valuable talents in his age group.
