Liverpool FC: Curtis Jones extends contract – Came as a 9-year-old

Curtis Jones remains loyal to his youth club Liverpool FC. The 21-year-old, who joined the Reds youth team in 2010 aged nine, signed a new contract on Thursday. The Premier League club did not provide any information about the length, but wrote of a long-term working paper. at “The Athletic” there is talk of a term until 2027.

“First of all I want to thank the coaching staff for believing in me as always and giving me the chance. And of course I’m overjoyed. It was an easy decision. Liverpool is my youth club, I’m a scouser, I’ve supported the club all my life so yes I’m very happy and I can’t wait to see what the future holds,” Jones said of his signature.

The central midfielder has only played in seven games this season after missing the start of the season through injury. Jones’ market value already had a negative trend in the run-up to the latest market value update and recently fell from 25 million to 22 million euros. He is still among the five most valuable professionals from Liverpool youth.
