Nadine Visser has won the Dutch indoor title in the 60 meter hurdles for the eighth time. She ran for a time of 7.90 seconds in the final in Omnisport Apeldoorn. That was above her Dutch record of 7.77 seconds.
“That I do not want to say that I am satisfied,” Visser said after the final, in which Maayke Tjin A-Lim finished second in 8.09 and Mira Groot took the bronze in 8.16. “This was an important last race for the European Championship in which I really went for a very good time, but with 7.90 you will not participate in Europe at all anymore.”
The frustration was great at the Noord-Hollandse, which was fourth last summer in the Olympic final of the 100 meters hurdles. “In the series I was very easy to walk 7.84, so in the final I certainly wanted to walk my best season time.
