Live ticker Waldhof Mannheim – 1. FC Kaiserslautern (3rd division 2021/2022, 27th matchday)

23

14:24

Redondo sees Boyd from the center, who lets Seegert drip and immediately pulls from the turn from 17 meters – Königsmann is forced to make the first real parade, and to be on the safe side he fists the powerful shot high and far forward.

21

14:22

Kaiserslautern has no access! Lebeau is allowed to cross far too freely from the right half-field and finds Sohm in the center. With a bit of luck, the striker will prevail against three men, but is just prevented from attempting a shot at the five. Schnatterer cannot use the rebound on the left.

19

14:19

Schnatterer stands up, but his free kick gets stuck on the wall.

18

14:19

Lebeau prevails on the baseline, Çiftçi pokes from behind and too much for the assistant referee – there is a free kick right on the corner of the penalty area line and the outer goal line.

17

14:17

Antwerp are forced to make an early change and now bring in Hanslik for Götze.

17

14:17

Substitution at 1. FC Kaiserslautern: Daniel Hanslik

17

14:17

Felix Goetze

Substitution at 1. FC Kaiserslautern: Felix Götze

16

14:17

Things are not looking good for Götze. The ankle appears to be in pain after unfortunate twisting earlier and has been able to continue for the time being.

15

14:16

The first quarter of an hour is a sniff at the highest level. Both teams are showing a high pace, but the flow of the game continues to suffer.

13

14:15

Kaiserslautern has a little space, Götze plays the ball to Zuck. His through ball for Boyd is then too sharp and there is a goal kick.

11

14:11

Götze is on the ground, the Waldhof plays the ball out fairly. Shortly thereafter, things seem to be going well again at Lauterer.

10

14:10

For the first time, Aytekin has to really intervene. Costly had to go to the referee’s audition a few minutes ago and now he’s getting his final warning for the straight leg against Çiftçi.

8th

14:09

And so it goes on in the early minutes. The ball is often out of bounds, and the game almost exclusively takes place around the center circle because neither of them reaches the last third.

5

14:06

Playfully, there is not so much going on on either side. The passing game is dominated by a few inaccuracies, the build-up seems hectic. Rossipal tries a first shot from the second row, but shoots to the second floor.

3

14:03

The first few minutes are physical. Aytekin often has his pipe in his mouth, but he does it calmly. The duels are tough, but not unfair.

1

14:01

The game kicks off under excellent conditions and a great atmosphere in the stadium.

1:40 p.m

As the first pursuer of FC Magdeburg, the Red Devils are in second place with 46 points and, as mentioned, can extend their lead in a direct duel. And the atmosphere in the Antwerp team could hardly be better. The Lauterer have not lost in eleven games and in the new year they scored 13 out of a possible 15 points. Last week they also luchst the sovereign table leader Magdeburg with a strong performance at 2:2 points. And FCK also has a catch-up game up its sleeve. But all of that counts less than usual before a derby. Today, the core of the team has to work: the defence. With only 15 goals conceded, they have by far the best defense in the league. The Red Devils kept a clean sheet in 15 of 25 league games.

13:34

And this is how the starting position of the teams looks like: After 26 games, Mannheim is in sixth place with 42 points and four points behind FCK – Braunschweig are missing three on the relegation rank. With a win, the Kurpfälzer would be right in the middle of the fight for second place, with a defeat they would almost be out for the time being. Recently, it was only moderate for the Waldhöfer. Although they haven’t lost any of their last three games, they have only scored five points in their last four games. Last week in the disappointing 0-0 draw at Türkgücü Munich, even the strong attacking duo of Martinovic (11 goals) and Schnatterer (9 goals), who together scored more than half of the 39 Waldhof goals, faltered.

13:25

The hosts even sent exactly the same starting XI onto the pitch as they did last time in the 0-0 draw at Türkgücü Munich.

13:24

A look at the line-ups: At FCK there is only one change in the starting XI compared to the top game against Magdeburg (2-2). Klingenburg picked up the fifth yellow card of the season after being substituted and is therefore missing today. He is replaced by Götze.

13:19

Both teams are highly motivated, Kaiserslautern maybe even more. Because an away win would really hurt the Mannheimers. In addition, a 0-0 win from the first leg must be avenged, in which FCK saw two red cards in the first half and still managed to get the point across the finish line with just nine men. The place references were then properly discussed. Also because of this and generally because of the derby character, Deniz Aytekin, a very experienced man, will lead the third division game today.

13:09

The FCK want to shoot the sole crown in the southwest and the unloved neighbors from Mannheim from the promotion race for the time being – and at the same time secure second place behind the seemingly unstoppable FC Magdeburg. In contrast to previous encounters, before which there was usually some tips and arrows shot by both sides, this time it was fairly quiet before the derby. Both coaches warned both players and fans to be calm – they wanted to give the answers on the pitch.

Hello and welcome to the red-hot derby on Matchday 27 in League 3. Waldhof Mannheim welcomes 1. FC Kaiserslautern at 2:00 p.m. in the Carl Benz Stadium.
