Inter defeated Lazio Rome deservedly 2-1 in their own stadium. The home side got into the game better and created their first opportunities. It wasn’t until the 30th minute that Alessandro Bastoni scored the overdue 1-0 with a nice low shot from 25 meters. A mistake in the hosts’ back team, however, only five minutes later caused Ciro Immobile to equalize. After the 1-1 draw, the game became more balanced and even after the break, it initially looked as if Lazio would find their way back into the game. As the season progressed, however, Inter took hold of the reins again. The 2: 1 by Milan Škriniar after the preparatory work by Alessandro Bastoni was absolutely deserved. Simone Inzaghi’s team managed to win over time.
