In an uneventful first half, it is 0-0 between FC Augsburg and 1899 Hoffenheim! The hosts started early with a goal from Engels, but the six’s supposed first goal was rightly withdrawn because of a handball. Then there was a long period of idling, in which both teams completely neutralized each other. Only towards the end of the first half could Augsburg develop an overweight again. Several times they conquered the ball in the opponent’s play structure, but could not reward themselves. Maybe there will be more in the second round!
