Second semi-final!
Zverev’s opponent, Swede Mikael Ymer, is only in a semi-final on the tour for the second time. With a strong three-set win against Gasquet, he brought himself into the match against Zverev and can of course play freely and without pressure. That could be the Scandinavian’s chance.

Alex Zverev had big plans before the season and was considered one of the favorites for the Australian Open, especially after Novak Djokovic’s “out”. The end is known: Zverev failed early on due to Denis Shapovalov and is now looking for compensation. In Montpellier, that works quite well, as the Hamburg player marched into the semifinals and is the clear favorite there too.
