3:31 p.m
After a long punch from Drljača, Schäffler wrestles his opponent to the ground. That should have been it.
90′+9
15:29
The official injury time is over. Due to Schreiber’s three-minute injury interruption, there should still be a few more turns of the clock.
90′+6
15:26
During a counterattack, Biada passes through the half-right attack lane for Brünker. The striker fails to beat Drljača from a tight angle and seven meters.

Schreiber injured himself while making a save on the post. He gets a turban but can carry on.

Schäffler almost equalizes! A long free kick from the right half of the field lands on the former Nuremberg player’s skull. Schreiber quickly defuses the header in the short corner. Then there’s an offensive foul.
87′

FCS coach Ziehl makes two changes again. Stehle and Biada come for Naifi and Thoelke. However, the free kick due from a promising position achieves nothing.

Yellow card for Claudio Kammerknecht (Dynamo Dresden)
Kammerknecht takes Naifi off his feet on the right defensive edge of the penalty area. Lucky for him that the referee decided not on a penalty but on a free kick. There is still yellow.
82′
15:13
Of course, the SGD has to be careful: the Saarlanders are waiting for counterattack situations in order to exploit the resulting space to make a preliminary decision. But the home team is not yet capitalizing on it.
79′
15:11
The final phase is underway, the East Germans are increasingly stepping on the accelerator. With the exception of Lemmer’s shot, not much stands out yet.
76′
3:08 p.m
Scribe! Meißner takes a free kick from 19 meters into the wall from half-right. The Joker puts the rebound into the left half-space, where Lemmer shoots from a similar distance. Schreiber parries the good attempt with a paw. Schäffler waits for the winner, but can no longer get his foot on the ball.

70′
3:00 p.m
Yellow card for Marcel Gaus (1. FC Saarbrücken)
Gaus tactically stops Kutschke in his own half. Yellow is fine.
68′
14:58
Thoelke receives an elbow strike from Kutschke in the air duel. The defender’s face begins to bleed. He is still being treated, so Dresden is in the majority.

Both coaches change. Ziehl brings Günther-Schmidt on for Rabihic, and Meißner starts the race instead of Herrmann.

14:52
Saarbrücken hits the crossbar! As a result of a long throw-in from the right, Drljača only comes out tentatively. Brünker wants to head the bouncing ball past the keeper. The advanced Uaferro thunders the following rebound from seven meters with the toe of his shoe onto the lower edge of the crossbar. Then the Saxons are there and clarify things.
59′
14:51
The guests’ attack efforts have apparently subsided again. The home defense has everything under control.
56′
2:46 p.m
The most dangerous standards so far are the long FCS throw-ins by Gaus. Now one of his projectiles whizzes into the Dresden box, but Drljača is there.
53′
2:44 p.m
During a corner from the home side, a Saarlander commits an offensive foul. Dead balls are not a factor at all on either side today.
50′
2:43 p.m
In the second half, Dresden seemed to develop a little more power towards the goal. Without being really compelling, there is a little more presence around the opponent’s penalty area.
47′

Things continue with two changes for the yellow-blacks. Meier and Lemmer take over for Park and Borkowski.

Kick-off of the 2nd half
45′+4
14:22
Half-time conclusion:
Break in Saarbrücken, FCS leads 1-0 against Dynamo Dresden. Relatively little happened for long stretches of the game. Both teams are largely stable defensively and hardly even have an idea offensively. There were two exceptions for the Blue-Blacks: In the eighth minute, Brünker headed past the box from the best position. After 40 revolutions of the pointer, the number nine did a much better job with a much more difficult header and nodded into the lead. The Saxons in particular have to wake up slowly, otherwise they will have a hard time turning the match around again. We can stay excited – see you soon!
45′+4
2:19 p.m
End of 1st half
45′+3
2:18 p.m
Yellow card for Stefan Kutschke (Dynamo Dresden)
…and Kutschke see yellow.
45′+3
2:18 p.m
Yellow card for Kai Brünker (1. FC Saarbrücken)
Kutschke pulls Brünker to the ground with a Saarbrücken free kick from the right half of the field in the penalty area. There is no penalty, instead there is a pack formation. Both Brünker…
45′+1
2:16 p.m
Yellow card for Kyu-hyun Park (Dynamo Dresden)
Park pushes Naifi over from behind. Yellow is too hard a decision.

2:15 p.m
Official injury time (minutes): 2

2:14 p.m
Yellow card for Calogero Rizzuto (1. FC Saarbrücken)
43′
2:14 p.m
For Brünker the knot has finally been broken. For the first time in over 500 minutes of play and since the end of September, the striker is off duty again. He now has seven goals this season.
40′
2:10 p.m
Tooor for 1. FC Saarbrücken, 1-0 by Kai Brünker
Out of the blue, Saarbrücken takes the lead! After Dresden defended a header, Kerber poked the ball to the right to Rizzuto. Brünker nods his cross from eight meters in a sideways movement into the net next to the left post.
37′
2:08 p.m
…but the standard poses no danger. Instead there is an offensive foul.
36′
2:07 p.m
Dynamo wins the first corner…
33′
2:03 p.m
Yellow card for Bjarne Thoelke (1. FC Saarbrücken)
Thoelke has his elbow out in the aerial duel. He is warned for this.
31′
2:03 p.m
After more than half an hour the draw is perfectly fine. With the exception of Brünker’s opportunity, we hardly get anything to offer offensively. The starting team in particular hardly knows what to do with the ball.
28′
13:58
The SGD tries to establish itself in the opponent’s half. So far, the Ziehl team is bomb-proof.
25′
13:57
There is still a lack of speed in many actions. Both offensive lines also lack precision and courage.
22′
13:53
Both teams can’t really record many actions up front. The FCS also rarely has any notable moments.
19′
13:49
Yellow card for Paul Will (Dynamo Dresden)
Will is late against Sontheimer. He sees yellow for his entry.
17′
13:47
Zimmerschied goes down against Rizzuto in the home team’s sixteen-yard box. Correctly there is no penalty – Zimmerschied doesn’t complain either.
15′
13:46
Rizzuto is played nicely on the right wing. However, his cross finds no taker.
12′
13:44
There is little to see from Dynamo offensively so far. The hosts make the better impression – and not just because of the Brünker opportunity.
9′
13:39
Great opportunity for Brünker! A short corner ends up at the first post for Naifi. Brünker pushes his high cross to the far corner past the goal from five meters. It MUST sit.
7′
13:38
A loud whistle can be heard again and again around Ludwigspark. The stadium announcer repeatedly tells the fan not to do this. But the whistling doesn’t stop yet.
4′
1:35 p.m
Quiet start in Saarbrücken. Both teams initially stalk each other and see what the generic is up to.
13:14
On the other hand, things look much rosier. Thanks to their better goal difference, the East Germans lead the league ahead of SSV Jahn Regensburg. They are already a whopping seven points ahead of relegation place three and three more points in fourth place. That means: With a win today, third-placed Essen would already be ten points away. Furthermore, they are currently on a real run: five of the last six games played in the league have been won. Dresden are the clear favorites against Saarbrücken today.
1:00 p.m
Let’s first look at the FCS. While the mega sensation succeeded in the DFB Cup by defeating FC Bayern Munich (2-1), he continues to have extremely difficult times in league play. He has been waiting for a three-pointer for five matches, most recently a home defeat against TSV 1860 (2:3). The weak results mean that the team that was almost promoted last season now finds itself in a relegation battle. Two points separate him from VfB Lübeck, who are currently in 17th place.
12:48
So now the second attempt in the duel between the Saarlanders and the Saxons. At the end of October, both teams faced each other on the pitch for 45 minutes. However, due to heavy rain that lasted for hours in Saarbrücken, the game had to be canceled during half-time. So today the catch-up game takes place – from the start, hopefully without rain and with good football.
12:33
Hello and welcome to the catch-up game on matchday 13! 1. FC Saarbrücken welcomes SG Dynamo Dresden today. Kick-off in Ludwigspark is at 1:30 p.m.
