It is New Year’s Day and for many people that is the time for a refreshing dip. NH reports live from the New Year’s dive in Egmond aan Zee. Watch on television, app and online from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM.
The New Year’s dive in Egmond aan Zee will start at 1:30 PM with a warm-up and at 2:00 PM all divers will run towards the water. The organization expects that around 2,000 people will participate in the New Year’s tradition and that a total of around 6,000 visitors will come to Egmond aan Zee. NH reporter Laura Osinga is also on the beach to encourage the brave divers and report on the festive scene.
Anyone who participates in the New Year’s dive in Egmond aan Zee will receive a warm hat and support the ALS Foundation. Afterwards, a cup of pea soup is waiting for the divers to warm up a bit.
