Activists against war in Gaza disrupt Israeli TV show: ‘Stop shooting’

A group of Israeli activists has disrupted a live broadcast of the television program Big Brother to protest against the war in Gaza. They jumped on stage and sat down demonstratively until they were removed by security guards.
“The people demand: stop shooting,” the demonstrators shouted during the show. The disruption was claimed by Standing Together, an organization that campaigns for peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
“While just an hour’s drive from the Big Brother studios, the hostages are left behind to die and children are hungry, the media refuse to tell the people what is happening in Gaza and they broadcast as if everything is normal,” says a statement on the Facebook page of Standing Together.

According to the activists, Israeli citizens can no longer pretend that nothing is wrong and they have to put pressure on the government to end the war.
