Trump while visiting Netanyahu hopeful about Armistice Gaza

During the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, American President Donald Trump has shown himself hopefully about a truce in the Gaza Strip. Trump said that conversations about a file “go very well”. Hamas “wants a ceasefire,” the US president told reporters in the White House, among others.

The visit of Netanyahu to the White House, his third since the start of Trumps second term of office, took place while in Qatar indirect conversations between Israel and Hamas are being conducted. Palestinian sources still reported to Reuters on Sunday that they did not deliver anything. To a question from a journalist what a Vredesdeal in Gaza still stands in the way, Trump said: “I don’t think there is an impasse, I think everything is going very well.”

Netanyahu stated in Washington that Israel, together with the US, is looking for countries that “can offer Palestinians a better future”. He suggested that Gazans can settle in neighboring countries. “If people want to stay, they can stay, but if they want to leave, they must be able to leave,” says Netanyahu.

Trump suggested earlier this year that Palestinians can be moved to neighboring countries. This caused international criticism from countries that argue for a two -state solution. Palestinians also announced that they would not want to leave their house in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Prime Minister said on Monday “always” to keep control of the Gaza Strip.
