15,000 people in Israel demand gaza war in protest march

In Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, more than 15,000 people took to the streets on Saturday evening to call on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to put an end to the war in Gaza.

By hearing distance of Netanyahu’s home in the city, one speaker after the other called him to close a deal with Hamas. That deal would ensure the safe return of their loved ones, almost two years after their kidnapping. Of the 48 hostages that are held by Hamas in Gaza, about 20 would still be alive.

Family members and those involved gathered at Parijsplein in Jerusalem. Among the many family members, the mother of Matan Angrest, an IDF soldier who was held in Gaza.

“This is not a threat, sir the prime minister. If something happens, you will pay for it, this is a word from my mother,” called Anat Angrest, the Times of Israel reported.
