US President Donald Trump (left) had previously announced numerous sanctions on Colombia because the country’s president, Gustavo Petro (right), refused to allow deportation flights to land. The sanctions will remain in place “until the first plane carrying Colombian migrants has successfully returned,” the White House wrote.
