First half kicked off

We’re on the loose in the Allianz Arena! After last Tuesday’s 5-4 in Paris, expectations are of course very high for this return. Another nine goals may be too much to ask, but there has to be a winner tonight and there will therefore be more tension than last week.

PSG back on ‘holy ground’

The players from both teams enter the field. For Paris Saint-Germain, the Allianz Arena is of course holy ground, after the 5-0 win over Inter in last season’s final on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

Can the defending champion also qualify tonight for the final on Saturday, May 30 in the Enter Puskas Arena Budapest?

Ten more minutes

The semi-final of the Champions League is about to start. Arsenal qualified last night for the final on Saturday, May 30 in Budapest. Will it be Bayern Munich or defending champion Paris Saint-Germain?

After 3255 votes in our poll, this is the expectation of our audience: 2461 votes for Bayern Munich and 794 votes for Paris Saint Germain.

Another twenty minutes

Another twenty minutes until the party can start in the Allianz Arena, where the atmosphere is already excellent. Arjen Robben, also in the new shirt Bayern Munich, was just in front of the camera at Ziggo Sport and is clearly looking forward to it.

The former wing attacker from Bedum has a lot of confidence in his old club, with which he won the Champions League in 2013.

Bayern Munich in new shirts

Bayern Munich will play tonight for the first time in the new shirts for the 2026/2027 season, which were presented yesterday by the German champions.

Striking outfit by Michael Olise

For example, Michael Olise, the French right winger of Bayern, just arrived at the Allianz Arena. The 24-year-old left foot sometimes shows some strange behavior, but has shown his class on the field every week this season. Olise already has 21 goals and 30 assists in 48 games in all competitions this season. Last season, in his first season at Bayern, he also had very nice statistics with 20 goals and 23 assists in 55 games.

Line-up Paris Saint-Germain

Achraf Hakimi was injured last week during the 5-4 draw in Paris. The Moroccan right back has not yet recovered and is replaced at right back by Warren Zaire-Emery, who was previously in midfield. The Spanish lefty Fabián Ruiz will therefore play in midfield tonight, alongside Portuguese internationals Vitinha and João Neves.

Line-up Bayern Munich

One wicy at Bayern Munich compared to the eleven players who kicked off last week in the Parc des Princes in Paris. Konrad Laimer came on for Canadian left back Alphonso Davies halfway through the match last week, and tonight Laimer will start at left back.

Vincent Kompany last week after 5-4 in Paris

Vincent Kompany had to watch while suspended last week. The 40-year-old Belgian experienced a rollercoaster from the stands in the Parc des Princes: “Normally you are out if you concede five goals in a semi-final. But we also scored four and it could have been even more. At 5-2 it looked bad for a while, but now it is actually only 1-0“, said the Bayern coach.

“We will do everything we can to win next week. Even die if you have to. Everyone believes in it.”

After the match in Paris, Kompany immediately made a striking appeal to Bayern’s supporters.

“My only request is: if anyone has purchased a ticket and is not feeling well on the day of the match, then stay home and give your ticket to the fittest people who can contribute to the fortress that is the Allianz Arena. We have to win the match and we need the support of 75,000 people in the stadium.”

Makaay and Robben from the party

On the YouTube channel of Bayern Munich will soon be hosting a ‘Watch Party’ to get fans in the mood for tonight’s cracker. Former Bayern players Arjen Robben and Roy Makaay are also present. Makaay has been working as an ambassador for Bayern for years.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on a roll

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia moved from Napoli to Paris Saint-Germain in January 2025 for 80 million euros. The 25-year-old left winger from Tbilisi has 26 goals and 17 assists after 75 games for the French top club. In the knockout stages of the Champions League, he has already scored seven goals and two assists since February.

Two hours to go

Two hours until kick-off at the Allianz Arena. Bayern Munich has already scored 116 times in the Bundesliga and 42 times in the Champions League this season, including 20 times in the five games in the knockout phase of the Champions League.

Isack Hadjar makes his favorite team

French Formula 1 driver Isack Hadjar, teammate of Max Verstappen at Red Bull Racing, made his favorite eleven with Bayern players at the request of the BBC Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Penalty specialist Harry Kane, the gardener who first weeds before he shoots

In the first leg against Paris Saint-Germain he used a penalty. Harry Kane almost always hits the mark from the spot. The Bayern Munich striker uses a penalty protocol that consists of seven – and sometimes eight – sophisticated steps, as football expert Maarten Wijffels knows. Again tonight, during the return in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Bayern Munich still trained this afternoon

The selection of Bayern Munich trained this afternoon at the training complex, the FC Bayern Campus at the Sabener Straße. From there, coach Vincent Kompany’s selection boarded the bus towards the Allianz Arena.

Portuguese Arbitration

Tonight’s match will be officiated by the Portuguese referee João Pinheiro. The 38-year-old referee from Braga made his debut in the Liga Portugal in 2015 and has also been refereeing international matches since 2016.

At the beginning of this season he also refereed the battle for the UEFA Super Cup in Udine. Paris Saint-Germain then made it 2-2 against Tottenham Hotspur with two goals in the final phase, after which the Champions League winner won the penalty series 4-3.

Clash between fans in the subway

There has been a clash between fans of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain in the metro. The police have asked the PSG ultras to leave the station.

Paris Saint-Germain fans will now have to walk another 7 kilometers, about an hour and a half, to the Allianz Arena.
