In the municipalities of Assen and Meppel, between 19 and 20 percent of eligible voters cast their votes around 11 a.m. In the municipality of Tynaarlo that percentage is slightly higher: 22.5 percent.

The turnout in Assen, Meppel and Tynaarlo is higher than the national figure, although the different times make it not entirely fair to compare. Around 10:30 am, the national turnout percentage was around 12 percent, NOS reports based on Ipsos I&O. That is slightly less than around the same time two years ago, during the previous parliamentary elections. By 10:30 am, 14 percent of voters had cast a vote.
