Rapper Little Simz has to move her album. A film shoot is responsible for the release of the release.
Little Simz will soon be back in front of the camera
Lotus should actually be released on May 9th. Now Little Simz announced that the work only launched the market on June 6th, i.e. four weeks later. The British musician announced via Instagram that the schedules of different projects would collide – “because of the shooting plan for a film that was coming in”.
She stated: “When I was asked before, whether music and acting would sometimes be hectic, I always waved off. Now this time has come.” Little Simz is aware: “This is neither ideal for me nor for you. Trust me, I tried to solve it differently, but then I couldn’t have done the film.”
At the end of her short statement, the 31-year-old thanked in advance for the patience of her fans, who now have to be content with the previously published singles “Flood” and “Free”. What kind of film it was, she did not explain.
Predecessor no Thanks you was a chart success
Lotus is the musician’s sixth album. After two and a half years on no Thanks you (2022), which, like his two predecessors in Great Britain, ended up in 1st place on the R’n’B charts.
Little Simz has always been on the road as an actress at the same time. For example, she was seen in the Netflix series “Top Boy” (2019–2023) and most recently in “The Power” (2023). In the Marvel film “Venom: Let There be carnage” (2021) she had a cameo appearance and sang the title song.
