Little nuisance from oak processionary caterpillars is expected, but researchers ask for vigilance

The first oak processionary caterpillars hatched from their eggs at the beginning of April. Researchers expect little nuisance this year, but they do not rule out that the species may peak again in the coming years and therefore call for vigilance. This is reported by the European project LIFE Oak Processionary Caterpillar, which is also launching a new guideline for cities and municipalities.
