Literature professor Farouk (54) about his flight from Syria: “The fingertips of two children I taught were cut off”

He had his career in order in Syria: as a professor of French literature, founder of one of the largest language schools and possibly even Minister of Culture. And yet Farouk Alhasbani (54) fled to our country with his family – away from war, away from the horror. But what now, after President Assad is ousted from power? “We asked the question to our children. They don’t want to go back.”
