Lisbon mourns after shocking crash and is looking for answers: ‘Cable tram employees already warned that things would go wrong’

Lisbon woke up in mourning on Thursday, after the Glória cable tram totally derailed the night before at 7 pm Dutch time. After a collision against a building, the roof became crushed and the tram was destroyed. The death toll has since risen to seventeen, including foreign tourists. There are also about twenty injuries. For the inhabitants there is one big question: how is it possible that the cable car, which has been derailed before, crashed so hard now?
