December 19 – 11.29am – MILAN

His absence is felt, indeed! Lisa Vittozzi is the holder of the Biathlon World Cup and is the spearhead of the Italian team towards the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. The Italian, however, missed the first part of the season due to a back problem which forced a long stop. The champion has now broken the silence. And on her Instagram profile she vented: “I’ve been absent for some time, but as you know, it’s been a very difficult two months for my health. It wasn’t easy to decide to give up racing, and above all to accept it, but this time I had to listen to my body. I’m doing my best to be able to feel good again and do what I love again.”

the possible return

Vittozzi, however, doesn’t give up and wants to return to competing as soon as possible: “Thanks to those who have been close to me, supported and comforted during these months. See you soon”, concluded the Italian, who could return at the beginning of January even if the possibility to regain the crystal ball is now gone. Go Lisa!
