Russian football player Lionel Adams has died. A man fell from the window of a tall building in the Moscow region, says MatchTV.
The player, who passed away at the age of 31, was already in a rough situation in December, when he was meeting a player in the shirt of Dynamo Moscow Timur Magomedov. During the visit, Adams was beaten and shot with a pistol in the Moscow region.
Adams had been in a cafe with his friends when about ten people had approached him and first insulted him racially. Then one of the men had pulled out a gun and shot the player. The rest of the group had beaten him.
Adams’ mother had tried to visit her son at the hospital after this, but according to the doctors, the ex-player had left there without permission.
MatchTVAdams’ mother is certain her son was murdered, while the man’s friends claim he committed suicide.
Adams had tried to call his mother the day before his death, but she did not answer the phone at that time. The mother tried to call her son the next day, but by then it was too late. The boy didn’t answer anymore.
Adams, who enjoyed his time at Toppar, played in ZSKA’s youth teams and the Russian under-18 national team.
He made his debut in the Russian Premier League in 2014 in the shirt of FC Yenisey Krasnoyarsk.
