Half a year after the original release, Linkin Park published the Deluxe version of From Zero. One of the bonus tracks contained on it has a special story.

Mike Shinoda’s favorite song

In an interview with “Billboard”, the band shared new insights into the upcoming publication. According to this, Linkin Park wrote the recently published song “Up from the Bottom” in the middle of the tour-Wlebens between two appearances -something that the band hadn’t done for a long time. “It’s fun to be so entertaining,” said Mike Shinoda. The front man contrasted the work on the song with the usual “meticulous” way of working. “Up From The Bottom” was the last, but the fastest, but also the fastest.

The previously unpublished song “Let you fade”, on the other hand, was already created in parts during the studio work on the album, but was only completed later. As originally “not quite as louder”, he narrowly not made it to the original version of From Zero. “The thing with the piano and the singing was the second demo recording,” said Shinoda. “He is my favorite of the three bonus tracks.”

“Emily is the coolest person in the world”

The third new song on the deluxe version is “unshaped”. According to the band head, this comes from Linkin Parks. Emily Armstrong. The singer took the place of the Chester Bennington, who died in 2017 in 2017 and thus helped the group to resurrect from a seven -year break. After a few controversy at the beginning, the musician previously known as Dead Sara has now established herself. Especially in Shinoda, she collected plus points: “My daughters think that Emily is the coolest person in the world,” admitted her Linkin Park colleague. “They say that all the time.”

Linkin Park will soon come to Germany

In conversation with “Billboard” Armstrong joked to have a small recording studio installed in the tour bus. Shinoda, on the other hand, pointed out that fans should not expect new music from Linkin Park too quickly.

The Nu-metal-Greats finally spend the year 2025 on tour: they are currently traveling in the USA, after which Europe is on. First the band can be seen at the Nova Rock Festival in Austria in June, followed by shows in Hanover, Berlin, Bern, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt am Main in the German -speaking area. Then it goes back to North America.

The extended edition of the comeback-Albums from Zero will be released on May 16.
