Steven Wilson will publish his autobiography “Limited Edition Of One” on April 7, 2022. The musician once rose to prominence as the lead singer of the progressive rock band Porcupine Tree. In later years, however, he was also successful as a solo artist.

In his autobiography, Wilson writes about both Porcupine Tree’s career and his work as a solo musician. “The more I thought about it, the more I realized that my career was unusual,” says the singer. “How did I manage to do everything wrong and still end up on the covers of magazines, headlining world tours and hitting top 5 albums.”

Steven Wilson’s “accidental career”

Wilson adds, “How did I attract such obsessive and fanatical fans, many of whom take everything I do or say very personally, which is flattering at the same time but can also be tremendously frustrating? I somehow cultivated that, too, without really wanting to. My accidental career.”

“Limited Edition Of One” is published by Constable and will be available as hardcover and e-book, initially only in English.

Meanwhile, Wilson will also be releasing a new album with the members of Porcupine Tree after a hiatus of over ten years. “Closure/Continuation” will be released on June 24, 2022. The already released single “Harridan” provides a first insight into the long player. A European tour with stops in Germany is also planned.
