Kembit-Lions and Herpertz Bevo HC have won their last league match in the BeNe-League. Lions won 24-19 against Initia Hasselt in Sittard and Bevo sent Hurry Up home with a 34-30 loss.

Lions
Lions was visited by Initia Hasselt, the number ten in the BeNe-League. The Belgians started energetically and scored two goals. The people of Sittard were only able to close that difference after more than twelve minutes. Lions then took the lead, but the men from Hasselt did not win and were level again five minutes before half time: 9-9. Lions then took distance and ended the first half with a 12-10 lead.

After the resumption, the difference quickly rose to 16-11. Hasselt nibbled away from the deficit in the last fifteen minutes, but eventually had to take a 24-19 defeat. Lions can now prepare for the Final 4 weekend, which will be played on March 26 and 27 in Den Bosch.

Bevo
Bevo, who extended the contract with Dario Polman by one year, had to compete against Hurry Up from Zwartemeer in De Heuf in Panningen. The visitors were leading 5-8 after ten minutes and seemed to be heading for an easy victory. However, that was out of the question, as Bevo fought back, led 12-11 in the twentieth minute and kept the visitors away in the remaining minutes of the first half.

After a 17-15 halftime score, Bevo ran out to 21-16. Hurry Up narrowed the difference to 22-20, but the men from Drenthe didn’t come any closer after that. With ten minutes left on the clock, the difference had risen to 30-24. Hurry Up came back to 31-28, then Bevo stepped it up a notch and finished the regular season in the BeNe-League with a 34-30 win.
