F1 driver Pierre Gaslyn the pictures they published caused an uproar on social media. Many of the people who saw the update felt that Gasly was becoming a sports legend for Michael Schumacherwhile some considered the update respectful of the world champion.
On Saturday, which is Schumacher’s birthday, Gasly published pictures of himself skiing in the Alps. The Alpine driver was wearing a red Marlboro jacket that resembled an old Ferrari driving suit or jacket.

Inter alia Daily Mail pointed out that Schumacher often wore the exact same Ferrari jacket when skiing.

Some commentators saw Gasly’s capture as a tribute to Schumacher. However, the update has gathered significantly more negative than positive feedback.
Several commenters found the release date of the update and the choice of jacket tasteless.
– Hey dude… Wrong timing, one writes.
– This seems disrespectful, another criticized.
– Publishing this on Michael’s birthday and wearing a red Marlboro jacket is crazy, a third commented.
Schumacher was seriously injured in a skiing accident in the Alps in December 2013 and was in a coma. In June 2014, the family announced that the champion had woken up from a coma. Since then, almost no information about Schumacher’s health has been leaked to the public.
The F1 legend is treated in a hospital built in his Swiss home, where a very limited number of people can visit him.

Schumacher turned 57 on Saturday. His daughter Gina Schumacher published a touching congratulatory message on Instagram.
– The best forever. Heartfelt congratulations on your birthday, Dad, Gina wrote.
Gina posted a cute childhood photo with the whole family. Michael Schumacher and his Corinna-their wives look at the camera with a wide smile.
In the foreground of the picture are presumably the family’s children Gina and Mick Schumacher. The Schumachers’ dogs have also fit into the happy picture.
