Liiga Combine: Emil Järventie won the skills competition

17-year-old Ilves striker Emil Järventie was the number one name in Tuesday’s skills competition.

Mainly under 20-year-old promises from SM league clubs got to show their skills and physical characteristics at the two-day combine event organized in Tampere.

After Monday’s physical tests, Tuesday was the turn of the skill competitions held on the ice, in which, for example, precision shooting, hardest shot, puck handling track and skating speed were contested.

After the performances, the young people gathered at the Nokia Arena restaurant for lunch and to comment on the event organized for the first time.

The best tests of the event were chosen by the young promises, especially the precision shooting and the puck handling track. The well-received event was also hoped to continue in the coming years.

Each league club could nominate two players for the event. The oldest participants were born in 2001 and the youngest in 2006.
