Ariana Valle, how were the beginnings in your profession?
My story in nutrition began in my house with my mother. She was my first driver, without knowing it. His illness, a chronic condition that crossed for years, transformed his life and mine.
Accompany and travel the disease marked me deeply. I observed how little there was talk of the human behind a diagnosis. And there, without becoming aware at all, my vocation began to grow.
I chose to study nutrition because I felt that I could unite science, sensitivity and my vocation for help. The race gave me technical bases, but it was in practice where I began to see something was missing. I could not know what nutrients a food has or how to assemble a plan. What people needed most was to feel understood, accompanied and not judged. That empathy is not learned in books, it is built when you live it in your own flesh.
What are the services you provide to your patients?
I accompany from an approach that does not focus only on the weight, through individual consultations where each person is much more than the kilos that falls. I work with those who want to change their diet, but also their gaze on the body, health and well -being.
I involve the patient in his own process and in the care of the body, but the true transformation occurs in the paradigm: in how each person begins to be inhabitant, with more awareness, more autonomy, more kindness.
And on that way, a project is now born that is deeply excited: my own method: Light mind. A space designed to disarm limiting beliefs, work in community and meet again with a healthier, lighter (in every sense) relationship with food and with ourselves. Lighter mind does not seek control, but freedom. It does not impose rules, but enable questions. It is a trip to release guilt, and build new ways of caring for us that do not come from punishment, but from respect.
What challenges do you have ahead?
My professional path was always moving. Not because I felt demotivated, but because I was always looking for new ways to accompany better, to offer something more consistent with what I observed in practice. As I worked with different patients, I realized that the traditional weight descent approach was insufficient. That there were many people doing “all good” and yet feeling frustrated, judged, or stagnant.
That led me to rethink my role. And so I was building a more integral look on what I understand as chronic disease, where it is not just about the body, but about context, history, links, the relationship with oneself.
My challenge is to continue deepening that line: offer spaces where the accompaniment is real, human and sustainable. Where there are no objectives from outside, but are built from the inside. And for that I was born lightly, my own method that I am about to launch.
Light mind is much more than a program. It is a method of collective transformation, where people can work in their relationship with food, with their body and with themselves. From care, not from guilt. It is the project that summarizes years of learning, listening and professional construction.
My goal is that more people wake up. That may have their support network for health without weight such as axis, well -being with freedom, nutrition as a tool for comprehensive care. And accompany those who are ready to make that change, their true transformation
