A court in Stuttgart, Germany, sentenced a 26-year-old Afghan to life imprisonment on Tuesday for the fatal knife attack on a Mannheim police officer in May 2024. In the attack, five participants in a meeting of the Islam-critical civil moving Pax Europe and the agent Rouven Laur were injured. The latter died two days later from his injuries.
