LIFE STORY. Flemish figurehead for whom politics became too hard: Vic Anciaux (91) passed away. “The N-VA does nothing for Flanders. That bothers me a lot”

Vic Anciaux, figurehead of the People’s Union, has died at the age of 91. He was a champion of Flemish rights, but above all socially engaged. “It came from a sense of humiliation,” he said. Anciaux was the father of seven children, five of whom also went into politics, and one of the few politicians who scored a guest role in Thuis. This is his life story: “How cool is it that he ever bought the AB?”
