Lieke Klaver ran the European Championship limit on the 200 meters during her match in Oordegem. The 23-year-old athlete from Enkhuizen ran a time of 22 seconds and 89 hundredths in Belgium.
For Klaver, the European Championship in Munich will be her first European outdoor championship. The athlete was already active at the European Indoor Championships. Her personal best in the 200 meters is 22.69 seconds. Klaver will also compete in the 400 meters during the European Championships. During the World Indoor Championships earlier this year, Klaver reached the final and finished sixth in the world.
Djoao Lobles, Menno Vloon, Jessica Schilder and Anouk Vetter previously qualified for the European Championships in Munich. The European Athletics Championships will be held at the Olympiastadion in Munich from 15 to 21 August.
