On Friday, the Senate 5 of the Austrian Bundesliga announced its decisions on license and approval for the coming season. In the Bundesliga, eleven of the twelve teams received a license to participate in the upper house in the first instance, and only Austria Klagenfurt was withdrawn. For the first instance, there was not even approval for the first instance, so that the team of Peter Pacult would have to say goodbye to the professional sector according to the current status. Furthermore, there are still sanctions for the Klagenfurters because they had not submitted their financial report on time.
In the 2nd league, all 16 teams again received admission, five also the license necessary for the Bundesliga promotion: relegation Lustenau, leaders Admira Wacker, the SV Ried, Floridsdorf and the SKN St. Pölten, who was recently exhausted, are to rise to the upper house when the minimum sporting demands are reached. Furthermore, regardless of this, the Vienna, which was denied the license for personnel reasons, must remain second -class, as well as Bregenz, where there are infrastructural problems. The Vorarlbergs were also punished because, like Klagenfurt, they had not submitted their financial report on time. As a result, black and white starts in the upcoming second division season with a painting of 3 points.

All regional league teams who had been looking for an approval for the 2nd league were also successful: in the west there are two aspirants with the SC Imst and league leaders Austria Salzburg. Salzburg had been refused to admit the stadium in all three instances last year due to problems with the stadium, the West League champion then remained third-class. In the middle there are three possible promoters with Hertha Wels, the LASK amateurs and Wolfsberg’s amateurs, in the east the SV Oberwart and the amateurs of Wiener Austria were successful. However, it is still unclear whether there will be a climber in the east: a second place as a sporting minimum is required for a second division climb regardless of admission, which neither the Violets nor Oberwart is currently taking.
