Liberation Festival 2023: the program and these well-known artists are coming to Zoetermeer

The program of the Liberation Festival 2023 on the Zoetermeerse Markt has been announced. We can already tell you: it will be one big party again!

In the afternoon there is a program for mainly small children, in the evening the Market turns into one big dance floor for all Zoetermeer residents. Celebrate freedom together!

Ignite freedom fire

In the night of Thursday 4 to Friday 5 May, athletes from ARV Ilion will run with the freedom fire from Wageningen to the Zoetermeerse Markt. At 2.45 pm the mayor, together with the Ambassador of Freedom Vida Niazian, will light the fire. This marks the official start of the Liberation Festival in Zoetermeer.

There will be extra attention that day for living in freedom. For example, speakers will talk about freedom, there are video clips and a wall on which you can post your texts related to this subject. Stories, poems, drawings: everything is welcome.

The afternoon program on the Market

In the afternoon there is a lot of music, dancing and fun on the program. Take your children, nephews, nieces or neighborhood children to the Stadshart.

The evening program on the Market

From left to right….! Do you recognize this number? After the Live at the Lake summer festival, the Snollebollekes know that people in Zoetermeer like to party. We’re going to do that again during the Liberation Festival. The DJs of Die Verrückte Stunde, La Fuente and DJ Jean also know how to get Zoetermeer to dance. Alex van Oostrom will give a special show in 80s-90s style in combination with music, video clips and animations.
