Liam Payne died half a year ago. The former member of the Boygroup One Direction died on October 16, 2024 after a fall from the balcony from the 3rd floor of the Casasur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His sister Ruth Gibbins now expressed her grief in an Instagram contribution after she had previously silenced the public.

“My head still screams for you”

On Wednesday, April 16, the 34-year-old published a post by telling what it is without living without her brother. She expressed her grief about the death of the singer with the following words: “My head still cries out for you. Every morning, when I wake up, I feel like I was diving under water and snapping for air that never comes to redeem. A life without you is impossible, so I am currently learning to laugh at the right places, but it is exhausting if I only want to talk to you.”

She described her condition as all -encompassing and somehow indescribable: “I miss you loudly, quietly and in all the moments. I love you so much more than these words or my tears can express, but I know that you know that.” Ruth Gibbins closed her posting with a remark about where she could now be most close to Liam Payne: “For now I will see you in my dreams.”

“Everything reminds me of him or another of him”

On the same day, Jay Shetty released a new episode of his podcast “On Purpose”, in which Kate Cassidy told her feeling of grief about her deceased friend. Like Ruth Gibbins, she still feels close to Liam Payne: “Everything reminds me of one or the other. When I see these signs, I feel so much more connected to him and close to him, and I know that he is here and listens to me and is not far away.”
