Liam Gallagher and John Squire are already hinting at a second record

Even though there is no official release date for their first joint record, John Squire and Liam Gallagher have already provided a foretaste of the album with the track “Just Another Rainbow”. The new duo currently still owes us more songs and concrete information. Nevertheless, Gallagher and Squire have given hints that there could possibly be a second work from the two.

The Brits are probably planning a longer musical collaboration – apart from a joint tour this year. Former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire cryptically told The Guardian: “The guitar fights back.” Ex-Oasis singer Gallagher also took care of the rumor mill, declaring: “If John comes out with another batch of songs that are banging, people will get them too.” He also praised his colleague’s skills: ” Squire has a lot more to offer. People see John as this guitar hero, but he definitely knows how to write a damn song.”

Information about the duo’s first record

The two musicians have had a long-standing friendship. In an interview with Apple Music 1, Gallagher stated that from the beginning he had “no doubts” that they would harmonize musically. In the same conversation, the singer revealed that there would be a total of ten tracks on the two artists’ upcoming LP. There shouldn’t be a real album title either, because: “It’s just Liam and John, like Liam Gallagher and John Squire.”
