Levi’s® today releases its European denim trend insights for summer 2026. The report shows which consumer preferences are shaping the season – and the result is clear: with denim jorts and shorts at the forefront, this summer is all about a head-to-toe outfit.

The five trends that shape the European summer:

1. The new summer outfit is short: Relaxed Jorts & Oversized Denim Shorts

Levi’s® is seeing growing momentum behind loose-fitting silhouettes across Europe – with baggy shorts and jorts as standout styles across genders this summer. Men rely on relaxed cuts like the 478 Baggy Short or non-denim options like the XX Chino Shorts, while women interpret their warm-weather styles with remarkable versatility – from the classic 501® Original Short to the Baggy Dad Jort to the 501® Mid-Thigh and Culottes.

As temperatures rise in Europe, Levi’s® has identified specific moments when online interest in shorts skyrockets:

  • In the UK, searches for “Levi’s® Jorts” increased by over 1,000% from 2024 to 2025 – with expectations of significantly exceeding this figure in 2026.
  • When temperatures rose sharply in France in February, demand for denim also increased – with an increase of 100%.
  • Germany and Great Britain recorded peak values ​​of over 100% in July.

2. White is the new blue: Neutral denim tones dominate the season

White, cream, brown, light gray – muted and light colors are the clear choice when buying denim this summer. Kendall Jenner gave the decisive impetus with her simple Coachella look in vintage white Levi’s® denim shorts. The impact was clearly noticeable: global searches increased by almost 70% in April, underscoring the growth of a trend that will shape both the European festival season and summer wardrobes as a whole.

This trend is likely to continue to grow with Levi’s® appearances at major festivals like Primavera Sound – the stage is set for creative and stylish outfits.

  • The return of Y2K trends is pushing the denim craze to a new level – and no piece embodies this zeitgeist better than the Levi’s® Denim Bralette, which is seeing strong sales growth this summer.
