The future of Jonathan Tah is still unclear – FC Bayern are also said to want to sign the defender from Bayer Leverkusen. But now it is apparently clear where the national player will play next season.
According to a media report, national soccer player Jonathan Tah is about to move to FC Barcelona. The central defender has therefore decided to move to the Catalans in the summer, reports the Catalan trade newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”. The 28-year-old’s contract with Bayer Leverkusen expires on June 30th. Tah can therefore move on a free transfer next summer.
According to the report, Tah will receive a long-term contract until June 30, 2030 at FC Barcelona, which is coached by former national coach Hansi Flick.
Like Barça, FC Bayern is said to have tried to recruit the defender last season. After a failed move at the end of last season, Tah emphasized that he did not want to extend his contract in Leverkusen.
