A suspicious letter containing white powder was received by the Ministry of Justice in Potsdam on Thursday morning and triggered a police operation.
A police spokeswoman said the substance was found when the letter from an unknown sender was opened. The post room and offices were cleared.
The employee in the post office was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Health damage did not occur. The State Criminal Police Office is now taking over the analysis of the substance.
The police spokeswoman did not say whether there was a threatening letter in the envelope.
