It is one of the most beautiful moments in Dutch cycling history. Leontien van Moorsel takes gold in Sydney in 2000 at the road race, today exactly 25 years ago. She is sometimes a jerk for her own husband in Australia, but it’s all worth it. “Especially for my parents I thought this was so beautiful. In my youth they had nothing to do for a while and turned every dime for me.”
