Like colleague Hélène Hendriks, Leonie ter Braak is very disappointed that the viewing figures of their talk show HLF8 are so shockingly low. “It is of course a pity that it scores poorly.”
The talk show HLF8 started last year as Johnny de Mol’s personality show, but now nobody knows what the program really stands for. Currently the presentation is alternately in the hands of Hélène Hendriks and Leonie ter Braak, but also under their leadership it is nothing more than thirteen-in-a-dozen television.
Leonie is disappointed with viewing figures
Johan Derksen thinks that HLF8 had better stop. “There is a kind of blemish on the program. You quickly zap on, because you think: I’m not interested in that. I often don’t find the choice of subject interesting either,” he says in Today Inside.
Leonie says: “It’s my job, I enjoy doing it. I like the whole format. I’ve been doing it for fifteen years, because I used to do this with Goedemorgen Nederland and the regional broadcaster. So I’m not reluctant to do it, but of course it’s a shame that it scores poorly.”
‘Too Amsterdam’
Johan also finds the shooting location inconvenient. “There is still something very wrong. It comes from Amsterdam. That is very wrong. Then I won’t go there, for example, because that saves you 45 minutes if you come from other parts of the country. If you come from Amsterdam instead of here quiet.”
Colleague René van der Gijp thinks that the broadcasts would better come from the Media Park. “Then you can get people much easier.”
Canal Belt
Johan: “Which is also a disadvantage: a guest drops out and then they call someone from Amsterdam, who comes by by bike. Then it will turn into a canal belt program afterwards.”
Leonie: “Well, we are not a canal belt programme.”
Johan: “No, but there are a lot of Amsterdammers. Just look at programs that come from Amsterdam. The Amsterdam guests dominate there.”
Not distinctive
Leonie acknowledges that HLF8 is currently a failure. “It’s a shame, because I really enjoy doing it. The viewing figures are now lagging behind.”
The program does not seem distinctive enough. “We are really looking for that.”
She is jealous of VI’s men. “Isn’t that wonderful your position? Just catching eight tons a year to spew your opinion? Yes delicious.”
HLF8 attracted 230 thousand viewers yesterday. Today Inside had 797 thousand.
